Head of Business Development (Large Scale Project)

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced executive in the role of Head of Business Development (Large Scale Project) to oversee and drive the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, from project origination to negotiating contracts, and overseeing project execution. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and project structuring to accelerate company’s business growth in the Southeast Asian renewable energy market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Strategy & Project Origination

  • Initiate and lead the renewable energy business and project development activities, identifying market opportunities and structuring projects to align with company objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to explore new business opportunities, initiate customer engagement, and drive project development.
  • Identify and initiate greenfield and brownfield renewable energy projects, ensuring market viability and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with government agencies, utilities, landowners, investors, EPC contractors, and technology providers to support project development.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial terms and agreements with customers, business partners, financial institutions, contractors, and relevant government authorities.
  • Leverage existing industry connections and internal corporate relationships to drive business expansion through strategic partnerships.

2. Project Development & Execution

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial terms and agreements including PPA, MOU, JDA, SHA, etc with customers, business partners and other stakeholder(s) relevant to project development.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development process of utility-scale solar projects, including site acquisition, permitting, contract negotiations, construction and financing.
  • Work closely with engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure the technical, financial, and regulatory aspects of projects are aligned for seamless execution.
  • Coordinate among internal and external stakeholders regarding technical feasibility, financing strategies, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes.
  • Ensure project timelines and budgets are met, proactively managing risks and resolving development challenges.

3. Risk Management & Industry Insights

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for each project, providing detailed analysis and mitigation strategies to senior management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities in the renewable energy market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development within utility-scale or large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of power purchase agreements (PPAs), permitting processes, and regulatory frameworks in Southeast Asia.
  • Expertise in negotiating and structuring commercial agreements with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and financial teams to drive project success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a risk management mindset to assess market challenges and opportunities.

Willingness to travel as required for project site visits, partner meetings, and industry engagements.

Job Description

Position Summary

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to support the sales efforts of solar energy (B2B and B2C) and energy related products. This role requires a creative and results-driven marketing professional with a strong understanding of the renewable energy sector, digital marketing, and traditional marketing techniques, focused on generating qualified leads and enhancing brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a holistic marketing strategy aligned with sales objectives for solar B2B, solar B2C, and energy efficiency products.
  • Oversee all marketing initiatives, including digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing), content marketing (blog posts, whitepapers, case studies), and traditional marketing (print ads, events, trade shows).
  • Manage the company's website and online presence, ensuring content is current, engaging, and optimized for lead generation.
  • Create compelling marketing collateral, presentations, brochures, and sales tools for the sales team.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new marketing opportunities and refine strategies.
  • 2. Brand Management & Awareness
  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all marketing channels for solar and energy efficiency products.
  • Enhance brand recognition and reputation within the renewable energy and energy efficiency markets.
  • Manage public relations activities, including press releases and media outreach, to promote company achievements and product launches.

3. Lead Generation & Nurturing

  • Design and execute campaigns aimed at generating high-quality leads.
  • Implement lead nurturing programs to guide prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure marketing efforts directly support sales pipeline growth and conversion rates.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Sales Team: Work closely with the Sale Team to understand their needs, provide necessary marketing support, and ensure alignment between marketing and sales activities.
  • Product/Engineering: Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to understand new product features, benefits, and technical specifications for accurate and compelling marketing content.

Associate - Operation & Maintenance

Job Purpose

  • Manage and inspect the quality of operations and maintenance of solar power plants and electric vehicle charging stations operated by the ROM team to ensure the business can sell electricity as efficiently as possible. Control the quality of work to meet the highest standards, ensure maximum safety from work, create maximum customer satisfaction, and align with the organization's strategies

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, control, and oversee the quality of operations and maintenance of solar power generation systems and electric vehicle charging stations of the ROM team and related contractors

  • Control the timelines and work response (SLA), including evaluating the performance of the ROM team and the Monitoring team.

  • Plan and conduct safety inspections for the ROM team and related contractors.

  • Inspect and accept handover work from completed construction projects to proceed with operations and maintenance tasks.

  • Plan and conduct quality inspections of operations and maintenance at the site.

  • Analyze problematic work patterns and determine solutions to establish operational standards nationwide.

  • Other related assigned tasks

Qualification

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering

  • Associate Engineer License (special consideration) in Power Electrical Engineering

  • 2-3 years of experience in maintenance engineering and safety inspection **special consideration for experience in the solar cell field

  • Possess knowledge and understanding of machinery, with the ability to apply and resolve issues appropriately to ensure confidence and reliability in the work delivered to customers

  • Analyzing the causes and factors of a problem, and being able to predict possible outcomes to resolve or prevent the issue

  • Have knowledge and skills to operate equipment safely, and be able to provide basic safety knowledge, information, advice, and conduct safety checks
